Look that what is happening in Barcelona with the locals attacking tourists due to housing shortages and inflation of goods and services. It is a very difficult situation for developing countries. There needs to be a balance in order to protect the locals. St. Lucia is so overpriced, try going to their supermarkets and even the locals want everything in US dollars 💵 They definitely price gouging the tourist, fact experienced it first hand. They are hurting from higher prices and are intern inflicting it on the tourist. A woman in St. Lucia, try to sell me a tiny bag of chips for $5 US dollars. I just ran from her stall. 😮 I am just saying st. Vincent may seems backwards but it may just be for the best. I would prefer to travel there over Barbados or St. Lucia because it still lesser developed and people have not been tainted by over tourism. Human beings never think of long term consequences, we always want what someone else has because we are suffering. However, it may not be the best option because the consequences are far more severe.
